If I where to purchase a two stoke in bahamas where could I do that? I planned on heading to the west end to enter. unless I can go straight to bimini from ft Lauderdale or Miami not sure any insight...

well my dingy max motor says 10 hp but 100 pounds. they recommended a 8 for it however I can only purchase four-strokes in the USA. which puts a 8hp at almost 90 lb dry way to much to lift after a...

replace or rebuild starter sounds like the solenoid is the reason for the continues cracking however could be the momentary switch on the engine Control panel

Just to be clear Iv never used stp as a additive just for assembly. Learned this from a navy chief engineer. just to lube main bearings, rings and any bearings that have to be heated in order to fit....

Thank you for the thorough update. If the lead enginneer is responsible for the rebuild I would do that!!!
How ever re honing the cylinder would add more wear, I would think.

This crossed my mind as well buy yikes that's a beginner move. Hopefully he got the ring gap right and in the right placement. There is normally a small dot or letters on the rings this faces up!!! ...

I'll agree with timing, sounds like your not getting full combustion.
Rebuilt a few cummins that where sunk a few years back (rust crusty)
Needed to get a offset key way to correct the timing....

Sounds like a low charge, use soap and water to find leaks also look for a collection of dust where there's oil there's a leak. Definitely not a three phase feed, where is your voltage 34 volts? Ac...
