We aren’t planning on going until early 2021. Keeping fingers crossed that this drama may be over by then, but who knows? We are clearing out from here ( Marshall Islands) in mid April for Vanuatu ....

Our handset wire is badly deteriorated but Garmin don't make this model anymore and we cant seem to find a new wire anywhere.

The fix that FP were sending out failed. They are now sending out new hatch frames.
This issue affects ALL boats from 2012 to 2018. See article here ...

Second the Daewoo mini. Had ours onboard for 3 years now and love it. Super quick cycle ( 30 mins) and a full wash uses 30 litres. You can also just do spin or rinse and spin . We just use cold fill....

In fairness, the low was forecast several days before. There were at least 3 other boats coming down from the islands that were hove to , waiting for it to pass.

That is certainly not the case. Yachts may still travel to majuro . It is travel to the outer islands that has been stopped temporarily

There have been reports recently that the Marshall Islands are prohibiting travel outside of Majuro due to a dengue outbreak.
Is anyone there right now or have information to confirm this...

Just arrived in Tuvalu to hear this sad news. We met these guys briefly at Pacific Harbour before we left Fiji for Tuvalu.
Their plan was to go to Denarau to check out to sail to NZ.
