Most likely there was loctite applied to the threads. You may use heat and not damage the flywheel. Loctite weakens with heat. See their data if you have questions.
All the snake oil will not help...

I also run the SAmsung tablets. I carry 3 of them actually. Vary in ages. All have held up for years, my longest is 5. Battery life is good. Get an 11" screen. So much better than the 9.
