Re: Call for Developers

PULL request? Do you mean a standard HTTP GET? Where do you get these grib files from currently? Is there a service that already does this or you want to roll your own? What kind of load would you be...

Re: Dufour

We heard about the Bavaria build it sounded comprehensive. We also enquired about the Delphia 47, which seemed to have an interesting build but they didn't have one in NZ to actually have a look at. ...

re: Dufour

We looked at the new Dufour 460 and 500. Nice boats if you are after a plastic fantastic/weekend warrior. The interior is a little strange and the fancy photos on the website look better than...

Re: Start small?

If you are planning on buying/selling in NZ then get the biggest one otherwise you could be stuck with the smaller boat longer than you would like. Boats can sit on the market in NZ for years. A lot...

Re: A down played failed survey

Extremely interesting opinions across the board.

Let's start working through a few.

To the guy who said a $200 fix, I don't know what forum you have been reading but from what I have read you...

Re: A down played failed survey

So the broker is right and the surveyor is wrong?? Are you the broker?

This is not the kind of thing I want to muck around with. Plenty of other boats for sale.

Re: A down played failed survey

Oceanis 50. I wasn't present at the survey so the surveyor had spoken to the broker about it. When I rang the broker I expected him to be sympathetic and understand that the deal was not likely to go...

Re: Buying a boat is really hard, things sellers should know

I don't really understand the purpose of a buyers broker, surely their agenda is similar to the sellers broker; they just want to sell a boat to get a cut, which is their job so certainly nothing...

Re: Buying a boat is really hard, things sellers should know

Hi

I think you might find that surveyors don't check all systems of a boat. I think electrical, mechanical and perhaps rigging fall under their own pre-purchase inspection speciality.

Re: Exporting a Med Boat to NZ

I found out more about this particular boat.

It was launched in EU waters, owners are outside the EU and registered it in the BVI. Like I've said earlier no VAT was ever paid and have been told...

I'm in NZ and looking to do the exact same thing as the OP.

From what I understand being up for tax when purchasing the boat will depend on where the boat is currently registered. For example I am...
