Re: Be Wary (Maybe) of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
Obviously my replies will be deleted so I cannot offer any more facts. |

Re: Be Wary (Maybe) of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
Obviously you missed the bit about it being a plasticiser. Still, it appears arrogance rather than facts are what counts when it comes to the pilot. |

Re: Be Wary (Maybe) of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
You can cross the road without looking multiple times without getting run down also but do you risk it? You can also install rubber impellers incorrectly multiple times without a failure. |

Re: Be Wary (Maybe) of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
It's not about what I think it's about what is fact, which is sorely missing from some posts. The lube helps prevent damage to the blades during installation, temporarily softens the rubber to allow... |

Re: Be Wary of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
Sort of makes you wonder why just about everyone else in the world recommends lubing a new impeller and a new lube sachet is so often included with a new impeller kit. The lube isn't just about... |

Re: Be Wary of Stay Cool Pumps Impellers
Nothing quite like slamming a particular product in the thread title then going on to say you don't know how it happened. No mention of lubing the blades and ends. If I was Stay Cool I would be a bit... |

Re: New Caledonia & Vanuatu guides / charts.
Vanuatu Cruising Guide (https://www.vanuatucruising.info/vanuatu-cruising-guide-home-page) is a reasonably up to date resource for Vanuatu. I second 44'cruisingcat's advice of leaving from further... |

Re: Alternatives to expensive Yanmar fuel filter for 4JH3-HTE
Yanmar don't manufacture their own filters, they simply charge a premium for others to make them on their behalf. If a reputable after market brand fits then go for it. Mann are a good brand. |

Re: Yanmar Engine revs to 4000 RPM
Of course Cummins may be wrong. Don't confuse power/rpm over continuous power. |

Re: Yanmar Engine revs to 4000 RPM
I wish people would stop blethering about the prop. IF the engine is in fact developing over 4000rpm in neutral and it's not as faulty tach setting then the engine will be developing more power... |

Re: Yanmar Engine revs to 4000 RPM
The engine needs to be running at cruising revs to calibrate accurately. If you can provide cooling water I guess it would be OK. |

Re: Yanmar Engine revs to 4000 RPM
I suspect you need to have your rev counter calibration checked before you go any further. |

Re: FOURTH NATIONAL CLIMATE ASSESSMENT
It appears from the "caibre" of the people arguing against climate change, its causes and its effects that one of the biggest problems is an exceptionalist and nationalist attitude. I have a God... |

Re: Island Visitor Killed by World's Most Isolated Tribe
You obviously have no idea of the extent of the Vatican Treasury and from where the bulk of it was sourced. |

Re: Yanmar to Volvo Conversion Catalina 30
Assuming the Yanmar doesn't have a gaping hole in the block with the remains of a connecting rod poking though I would suggest that by the far the cheapest and quickest option would be to rebuild it.... |

Re: Yanmar warranty registration is broken
If it's anything like Volvo Penta product registration and the two were purchased together as a unit then the 2 should be linked on their system. |

Re: 1982 Perkins 4108 temperature sensor location
If the wire heads off to the oil pressure switch it is probably safe to assume it is the warning light/buzzer switch and not the gauge sender. |
