Pretty easy to do a quick visa run from most of the SoC...combine it with a sure to be needed parts pickup. :thumb:

Check again. Maybe only two making big bank, but quite a few in the $400-2000 per month range....which can definitely help a cruising budget. :thumb:

2-5 year "sabbatical"
Boat is as ready as can be
Husband and wife + 1 young child
1 year in the Sea of Cortez, followed with a puddle jump and points east.

I chat with these guys when in country as well. You can get a pretty good idea of the value of goods gaurded based upon caliber....i.e. Jollibee's = older 38 cal....jeweller or pawn = 12...

More often than not, the payoffs are "spread around", meaning the local authorities will get a nice party and maybe some new office furniture, the school will get new nets on the BB court,...
