Had better check your charge light. If the lamp is blown the alternator doesn’t get any power to initiate the charge.
The charge light should illuminate when the engine is switched on but not...

We have a Beneteau OC 45, the windlass only operates when the engine is on, not necessarily running. You got me thinking as all the issues you talk of are very real given the environment the controls...

Shurflo pumps don’t need an accumulator as they have a bypass system. We changed out our Jabsco as the wife didn’t like how noisy it was when I was showering and she was watching all important TV....

I believe it's a good idea to have a spare alternator and starter motor. I have these but I don't keep them on board unless I'm going long distance cruising as bearings will Brinell (Google that)....
