The Reeving/Flemish eye will probably be safest and most cost effective way for me, because will probably put halyards away quite often. Main mooring area have a wind that blows...

Crazy question

Ok know you used to get something "no idea what it was called.
Was like a tube and then you if you put like fingers in either side and try to pull it out it only grips harder.

So from above replies Tablet with Wi-Fi AIS Transceiver is the way for me.
Also seems storage for charts not taking a lot so a 32GB storage Tablet more than ample.

If you really want to play it safe, I know you get fire boxes specially for charging like bicycle batteries which would be a solution.
Personally I only charge appliances when I am around and awake.

Thxs got already 1 or 2 things that I will add to my collection.
one that i did not see here yet that I like to keep handy is a telescopic magnetic grabber.

Think best is to stay on basics, Diesel and no fancy dyeneema lol, maybe work on 40ft as base.

I do love them paper charts, but must say if entering tight areas alone nice to have electronic chart showing vessel on the chart.

I would prefer to have paper charts for whole world but that is not viable also to update paper charts of whole world is basically impossible.
Will definitely try to source paper charts also...

Biggest reason for not calculating plotter is cost to get charts for basically biggest part of world will be above my current budget.
