Re: Routing Cable to RAM3+ Hardwire

To close the loop, this is what I received from Standard Horizon. They confirmed it is the same for CMP30 and CMP31. Haven't tried it yet but figured I'd share.

Re: Routing Cable to RAM3+ Hardwire

Interesting. Is there a higher resolution version somewhere? What is the source? It doesn't quite make a one to one connection but I think I can reverse engineer what happens off to the left of this...

Routing Cable to RAM3+ Hardwire

My CMP31 RAM3+ mic is inoperable at my helm due to corroded connectors. I tired to salvage them but no go. I managed to score a 10 pin connector or have the option of just hard wiring the routing...

Re: B&G T2 Ram - NAC 3 Overload

Not yet, I'm going to take the motor off and ensure that it is turning when the power is supplied. Wont have a chance to do so until Wednesday night. The unit is brand new so hard to believe they...

B&G T2 Ram - NAC 3 Overload

I recently ditched the wheel pilot on my Pearson 424 and installed a B&G autopilot setup with a B&G T2 linear actuator and a NAC-3 computer. Over the weekend I got it to the point where the system...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Well that’s good to know, maybe I did breath too much exhaust after all. Well mine are all perfectly aligned now for that high performance YSM-12 feeling.

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Ok... so it has been awhile but finally got a used head in hand and cleaned it up. Didn’t lap the valves which I already regret but threw the head on and with my brand spakin’ new injector the spray...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

After close inspection it would appear all the bits of metal were not just from the precombustion chamber but also from the head itself. It would seem the well that the injector and chamber fit into...

Used Yanmar YSM 12 - Cylinder head

My cylinder head for my YSM 12 is cracked in a way that prevents a fix with welding.

I know it is unlikely that someone might have one of these lying around but I figured I'd give it a shot before...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Well, gave it my all including a slide hammer and blow torch. Finally dropped it off at the machine shop. They got it out but I think they destroyed the pre combustion chamber in the process. Got a...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Well I built a crappy version of an injector puller with parts I had around and it just bent the plate pretty easily. I then built a hardier version with steel HSS and grade 8 bolts and managed to...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Well a day later than I thought but made it down to the boat tonight. Adjusted the valves which was easy but no start. Bled the fuel again and cracked the injector fuel lines and saw pressure...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

In poking my head way around back there does seem to be a good bit of surface rust on the aft side of the head. If compression shows low I may try swapping head gaskets before pulling the whole thing...

Re: Yanmar YSM 12 - Troubleshooting Help

Thanks for the advice. From memory the exhaust valve rocker had way more clearance than 0.2 mm so that definitely needs to be adjusted. I guess I should have read the manual first! Sometimes I just...
