Re: America's Cup - boats foiling with bow down trim?

I was wondering the same thing. It is almost impossible to catch a still frame to look at the angle of attack. Looking at it from the perspective of an airplane wing, which essentially it is. But,...

Re: What should a stack pack/sail pack/ lazy bag cost?

Sailrite is a good direction to go. For my other boat I bought their video and then purchased the bits and pieces. Some from Sailrite and others locally. In hindsight I think I would have been...

Re: What should a stack pack/sail pack/ lazy bag cost?

Re: Minn Kota opinions needed

Re: Minn Kota opinions needed

I also found the Newport in my search. Was reading about it also. Noticed that they didn't have models specific to fresh or salt water. I will be using mine in both up and down the Pacific coast...

Re: Minn Kota opinions needed

I am thinking of the weight as being a very positive aspect. I have plenty of room on the Gulfstar but as I am getting older I am disliking hoisting things around a whole lot more.

Re: Minn Kota opinions needed

This is great info... I know it is difficult to equate thrust to HP and without a "Road Test" it is hard to calculate. My old 9hp Johnson it just too big and heavy to put on this little dingy for...

Minn Kota opinions needed

I'm in need of a dingy (8' inflatable) motor replacement. Wondering about the Minn Kota but have never used an electric boat motor before. It seems to be a very popular tolling motor but I hesitate...

I have not yet pulled the unit for a bench test but have tested with new cable to the control head. I made some comments today about that test.

Re: Seatalk Fail Error

I have unplugged everything beyond the control head. At this point I am only working with Smartpilot/Seatalk to Control head, Fluxgate, Rudder. All other connections are out of the scenario.

If...

All instruments power up. Hooked up a new cable to the Seatalk terminals and had 12.69 volts on red 10.5 on Yellow at both ends of the cable. Plugged it back into the control head, received...

Re: Seatalk Fail Error

Kind of sitting here after reviewing Evolution installations and conversations with a smile on my face. Pondering...How the hell did all this start. Simply running a new fuel line under the floor. ...
