Stainless Steel Fittings and Exhaust on Transom: Rust Stains After 31 Years

The steel exhaust and several fittings are rusting on the transom, but not because they are of low quality stainless. They have just been there forever in the splash zone.

perhaps there is a plug in the outflow pipe requiring the roto rooter drill.....They are sold at Lowe's and other hardware establishments.

we found clearing the downstream hoses this way solved...
