Re: How to get off of a windward dock

Re: Freshwater pump not turning off

I had the same problem last year. The fix turned out to be emptying the pressure/accumulator tank and lines downstream of the pump and blowing it out entirely with an air pump. A burst of the...

Re: Boat as an investment?

The only way I know of to consider a boat, of any size, as an investment was to buy a boat and put into charter with a sailing club (like Club Nautique on the West coast). You have to buy the boat...

Re: Why won't my water pump stop if there's no leak ?

On a cautionary side note, I had to replace my fresh water pump due to the PO installing it upside down, i.e. the diaphram was above the motor housing, and leakage in the diaphram rusted the rotor. ...

What to do about holes in rusty deck

I started a long overdue project to clean up rust on the deck, but need some advice on dealing with a couple of places that have rusted through, hidden under paint. I tested the blown-in...

Re: Ultralight Diesel Fuel Burning Small Wankel?

The diesel outboard looks like a good way to eliminate the bother and danger of carrying gasoline on board, but a winch to bring in on board is a must. Heavy rascals, even the 4 & 6 hp models,...
