Re: Lagoon 450 Windlass Quick,Dylan FAIL

So the motor Sounds shot. Could be the brushes as mentioned before.

But if you need parts it will take time.

To make the windlass manual drop the gear box off. This will allow the gypsy to free...

Re: Trysail and Heaving to

Nope not yet, 35 knots and 3 meter waves is probably the biggest we have done.

I am not sure that our 440 would like heaving to in 50+

Given the sea room we would probably opt for running down...

Re: Fuel transfer procedure lagoon 440

We have a system, but 99% sure it was retro fitted by the last owner and not a Lagoon Std Fit.

But if it is then it is in the Stb Engine locker on the bulkhead above the engine bay and towards the...

We have a 440 and regularly heave to. Usually to get a big fish in without dropping the sails.

Re: Re-galvanizing anchor chain

Re: Large Symmetric spinnaker

Looks like a screacher. Flat cut genneker for reaching.

We have one. Great in winds 70 to 140 degrees. We fly it up to App wins of 15 to 20. Which past the beam means we have had it up in 25 to 30...

Re: Large Symmetric spinnaker

with

No offense meant. And I like the 450. But if you want a big spinny for racing why did you buy a 450?

Re: Re-galvanizing anchor chain

FYI Just spoke to commonwealthgalv.com (https://commonwealthgalv.com/)

And they still galvanise chain, we have about 700 lbs of chain I think. (350kg) and the quote over the phone to dip clean and...

Re: Large Symmetric spinnaker

LOL we have a 120 sq m Symetric Spinny which we like, our friends have a 140 sq m Parasail. Now that sail rocks. Set and forget.

The Symetric needs constant attention, even on a cat. If I were to...
