Hi Franziska,
I checked the weather and it is as good as it gets right now. I crossed the Atlantic in June from Bermuda and I had winds up to 50 knots and 10 m waves. That can happen all the time....

Re: Wifi in the Caribbean

I like to use a Hotspot that uses a SIM card separate from anything else. You can connect at least 8 different gadgets to it. It just needs a SIM card for every country. Just search for 'huawei...

Re: Lathe & Drill Press on a Boat?

Just bought Truedesign fittings too. They become part of the hull and last longer than the boat. Great!

Re: off shore swimming

Of course you can. And even sharks will take a while to find you. So no worries for about 20 min. And remember, as long as your head is above the water level it doesn't matter how deep the water it...

Re: One More Time: 6V or 12V?

In short: If you wire batteries in series you increase voltage. (6V+6V=12V). If you wire Batteries parallel you increase the current (12v/100A+12V/100A=12V200A). You want 12V for all your consumers I...

Re: Dinghy landings

Re: Monitor Wind Vane with tiller pilot?

1.)Either end is O.K. I mounted on the counter weight because I wanted to mount the unit as horizontal as possible.
2.)I didn't use morse cable.
3.) No issues at all during usage.
4.)I mounted...
