Most people power through to Desolation and miss some awesome spots along the way... I highly recommend checking out the islands just south of desolation - the copeland islands just north of Lund... |

With an antenna at 40' there is coverage over the whole strait - do you have an external antenna and how high is it? I often listen to wx channels on my handheld vhf and the reception can be spotty... |
