Re: How do you right a cat that has flipped over

Chris White thinks that one could run a line as a bridle, each end attached to the bow of each hull. Tie the bridle to a line and attach to a tow boat. He doesn't think it would take much of a...

Re: 48' Catamaran Project

Dymaxion, (as in car, maps?) I think the longest piece is 26'. The hulls were never started. I focused on the components so I would not have to move/store the hulls. The one part that might be a...

Re: Bowsprit replacement?

One concern if your laminating the sprit, is the thickness of the lumber used in the lams. Wood much thicker than 1/2 will swell and shrink enough to break the bond of the glue joint. I would lam...

Re: How do you remove the pulley to replace the seal leaking at the timing cover?

Not blaming at all. Just trying to be helpful. If you scratch up the crankshaft trying to, remove the seal, for one thing, you will never be able keep a seal in there. Learn all you can, indeed,...

Re: Cheoy Lee Offshore 33' Ketch

I had a 1971 33 CL. First one I saw belonged to a guy named Fred Oster. Good guy. His boat was immaculate. I fell in love on the spot. The teak deck's the varnished trim, the spars. Beautiful. ...

Re: Replacing chain under bowsprit
