Wire and pin sizing

Is sail area the determining factor in sizing stays, chainplates and pins? This is the first boat where I need to start from scratch. Windward sail area 410sqft. 36ft catamaran with 16 ft beam.

The lazy jacks I copied from a friends boat holds the boom and he did away with the TL. Using amsteel. I have not mustered the nerve yet.

My buddy has nobeltec and his computer only has usb ports. he bought the adapter pin/usb but the gps signal is not getting through.
