I have now gotten my sailboat ready to single hand anywhere. I've been practicing and learn in the boats ins and outs.

I had always read about people know where every nut is on their boat and...

Re: What is it like sleeping your first night out?

I didn't know...

Re: What are essential foods to bring?

I do have the propane already though. It is just mounted outside on the side back by the grill. I probably don't want to run it inside the boat and hook it to a stove. I could though. Have like a...

Re: Carrying money.

Here is noonsite for Micronesia, which is what got me thinking about it, and I read the same on a guy's blog that went there.

Cash is required for most transactions here. Only in Chuuk is it...

How far usually until you are out of the busiest shipping lanes? How far off the coast do you have to be until you are out mostly by yourself?

Re: Richardson Bay liveaboards, heads up!

Imdon't do that. I joined a forum to actively talk to people and get the most up to date information. If I wanted to search for old topics I could never have created an account.

Well, I do read...

Re: Carrying money.

Oh, and doesn't your boat get thoroughly searched upon arriving at most countries? Wouldn't an unscrupulous official say they found nothing while pocketing your money and ere would be nothing you...

Carrying money.

As I continue to prepare for my future cruise, many topics come to mind. As we finish tackling provisioning food, I thought about provisioning money.

I haven't nailed down exactly where I will be...

Re: Bowsprit replacement?

What these have taught me is that I never want a wooden boat! Fiberglass doesn't rot. Yay for fiberglass, even metal rusts, most of it, I would make my boat of metals that don't rust, carbon, and...

Re: Richardson Bay liveaboards, heads up!

I've heard a lot about the Richardson anchorage. Right now, do you need a permit of any kind and is there a time limit to how long you can remain there?

How is it? I've heard a little bit of...

Re: What are essential foods to bring?

That 4000 on ebay looks good, is it the same dimensions as the 4100? I want one that will fit my hole, let me know, I will make them an offer on it right now.

Lol, neither! You got one of the boats right though. (The better one). I already came from Seattle. You must have looked up my old posts from last year.

Re: What are essential foods to bring?

I could do an Origo, are the 4100 and 3000 you jus ordered the...

Re: What are essential foods to bring?

Can't forget chocolate. Even I know that.

Beans take soooo long to cook. And you have to soak them. Rice too. It takes a lot of fuel.
