We agree! One of the beauties of an unpainted aluminum hull is that it requires almost no maintenance. Thousands of aluminum work boats in the PNW are unpainted for good reason.

I think that's an option. However, on Marinetraffic.com they have some fine print about AIS-B not being as effective for offshore (i.e., satellite detection). It might not work at all. I have no idea...
