Hi Hopcar,
I used to use Puriclean religiously but it disappeared from all my usual sources a few years ago. I noticed on their website that you are a US distributor. Just curious if you know why...

Re: Awlgrip bottom paint - never been in since painted 6 years ago. Is it compromise

It's too bad that Awlgrip Gold is no longer on the market--it was the best performing paint I've ever used. I've been using Micron Extra for the past 10 years and has worked well here in New England....

Re: Boat co-ownership

I did a partnership with a good friend through two boats. We were college roommates and knew each other's tendencies well. We also had similar sailing preferences. We drew up a legal agreement etc....

Re: Yanmar Gearbox Lube Oil Questions

I had the same confusion with the manual on my new Yanmar, so I called Mack-Boring. I was told that Yanmar uses the same manual for different versions of the Tranny. Some models have the high/low...

Re: Boston Boat Owners!!!

How close to Boston were you interested in? On the North Shore there is Gloucester (Roses) and I would second Dion's in Salem. I would also agree that RI would give you much better options in general...

Re: Moving to Boston area, ideas for location?

If your in Woburn, you may also want to consider East Boston. It's 13 miles and a straight shot down I93. I'm at Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina and there is a small boat dock. Winthrop becomes a...

Re: Fresh Water for the head

This actually works very well. I used the method of Teeing the galley sink drain in just as I did on my previous boat with manual head. We just close the thruhull when not cruising and fill the sink...

Re: New Small Boat Battery(s) & Alternator Questions

I'm really surprised that Catalina is specing that Alt for that engine/battery config. I recently purchased a 355 and with a 3YM and 2 4D's it came with a 60A alt. Even though there was an option for...
