Re: troubleshooting communications failure on seatalk

Thanks for the tips. Most helpful and I found the problem.

I got lucky, in that the first device I disconnected - the wind instrument - was the one breaking the network. With that disconnected...

I have one SeatalkNG bus in the system, where the AIS receiver output goes into (working fine I'm pretty sure), and there's an output to an i70 on the same bus. The i70 has no data coming in. Does...

Re: Slipping Yanmar SD50 Cone Clutch

I know this is five years too late, but I think I may have the same issue (on the same boat - L400!) And was wondering if you (or anyone) found a solution, other than just blipping the throttle to...

Do they let you clear in while staying at anchor in Nassau?

We’ve done our click2clear and paid for permit already.

I have anchored in Nassau several times, but never cleared in here.

Problem solved - and it was actually very simple.

Dessalator were great and helped walk me through the fix.

Re: run a 1200w water heater with 900w Generator

That was never the plan. The question was poorly worded, but the was actually about doing this at anchor: 'shore power cable' ... not shore power.

Still a terrible idea, which has been very...

Re: run a 1200w water heater with 900w Generator

I meant connecting generator AC output to Shore Power AC input on the boat, then flipping on the heater 1200w element on AC circuit in the boat.

In my ignorance I thought it may be possible that...

I'm only seeing 20L of water production,...
