Main cabin privacy screen
I've done it with acetone. Easy. To replace the original screens I got a sign writer to computer cut vinyl panels. Mine is done in horizontal stripes rather than dots. Looks good works great. |

Engine Size/Performance
We have 39HP Yanmars on our 420. The 420 is a heavy boat and I expect the 42 is lighter? We cruise at 6.5 kts flat water, clean hull on one engine. I'd expect that the standard 45 HP motors would... |

Re: Lagoon 42 and LiFoPo4 batteries
We have a 420 and fitted 800AH Lithiums 2.5 years ago after finding that even the best AGM lead acid batteries don't do the job for full time live aboard usage. No question that fitting Lithiums... |

Re: Any owners in or near Brisbane?
Ring this bloke. Operates a 400 in charter called The Great Southeast I think. Berthed at East Coast Marina Manly. Usually more than happy to talk about the boat. Ben Stark 0419444041 Have you... |

Re: How's The Lagoon 420 ("2009")
On the 421 the Bimini is lowered to be more or less flush with the saloon top, and there is a pop-up helm like the 400. I believe there is some refining of he hull shape. That's about all as... |

How's The Lagoon 420 ("2009")
Sea Hunter we have a 2008 model 420 diesel. I don't think there's a 2009 model, although the lagoon you might be looking at may have been sold in 2009, as was ours. I believe that the next version... |

Re: The hunt begins
Big difference between a 380 and a 440. 420 is the best. Might be a little biased of course. Bob CASABLANCA L420 #86 |

Re: Navigating Lagoons price list - Engines and Props
Why upgrade the engines? 40hp is quite adequate. Downside is of course more weight, cost, fuel consumption etc., All that for a knot or 2. Not worth considering in my view. You can push the hulls... |

Re: Lagoon 420 hybrid + modern tech
Notice that 420 owners love their boats, whether hybrid or diesel. Criticism comes from the others. We have a diesel 420 and its performance all round is very pleasing. In our view the 420... |

Re: Water speed sensor
Capt Tom you are correct. To get accurate True Wind you need SOG. Speed through the water gives a vector enabling a calculation to be made but it can only be accurate when you have no current. And... |

Re: Concerns About Bulkhead Crack in 2009 Lagoon 420 O/V
I'd be careful. We looked at a 420 which had a large crack in the structural cross bulkhead under the mast which joins both hulls. There was a meter long diagonal crack in the cross bulkhead and... |

That's interesting. My setup is set for a max V of 14.1. Didn't know that the Braille was higher. Bit surprised about that. Bob CASABLANCA L420 #86 |
