I've always gone through Hell Gate going with the current. Never had any issues controlling the boat (Endeavour 37 - 21,000 lbs.) And the current is a big help that moves the boat right along.

What's a good cleaning agent to remove builtup grime from a disgusting looking shore power cable? Regular boat soap doesn't seem to do it... lots of scrubbing and very poor result.
