Pearson 365 Details Wanted

I'm writing a magazine article about a specific 1976 Pearson 365 Ketch and I need to know the following:

1)Are the hulls solid fiberglass or cored?
2)Is the deck solid fiberglass or cored?
3)How is the hull/deck joined?

Any information you wish to share will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dick:whistling:

1> Hull is solid fiberglass.
2> Deck is cored.
3> Hull/deck is machine screwed joined.

Thanks LauderBoy. Do you know what the deck is cored with?

Pearson used Balsa for the core on all the boats I'm familiar with.

Yep, balsa core on the 365: You can see it here

I think most boats use balsa or plywood. I don't know how practical it is to have an all heavy solid fiberglass top.

Solid fiberglass hulls seems to be the norm for that era too.

I'm curious what the article is about...

Personally I'm hoping it's an article about how horrible these boats are. I might move from my 323 to a 365 in a couple years and I'm hoping that they remain undervalued.

It just seemed odd to me that a Pearson 365 would merit an article being a plain Jane boat
