Too cheap to pay for find-a-crew premium membership

I have contacted a boat on find-a-crew and each of us has expressed an interest in going forward. Problem is, neither of us are preium members. Can any of you premium members out there get me ANY contact information for boat # 207468?

:viking:try Yacht crew agency, yacht crew vacancy, sailing crew from Crewseekers it's free for boatowners.

if you are a crew look at the web page rules, and suffer, having to pay sorts the wheel kickers from the genuine person, and when you don't turn up saves major expense and inconvenience for the boat owner.....

if you want free go on lonely planet with all the other time wasters:banghead:

Atoll - thanks for the tip. In the last two years, I've found and been on 4 deliveries - found 2 here and 2 elsewhere. It's just that boat #207468 seemed like a perfect match for what both of us are looking for and it's frustrating not to be able to connect.

I'd really recommend Do-It-Yourself Sailing & Cruising Database to anyone. It's free to use, the guy who built it is a sailor, and it's pretty active.

Break down and pay the fee if you feel the match is very good!, what does it costs $75 and you can connect with a few hundred other folks if this one does not work out

Thanks for all the tips. Contrary to what some people say, there is good advice to be had here.

Re: Too cheap to pay for find-a-crew premium membership

I have no idea how well findacrew works for sailors looking for a boat, but it is unbelievable for a boat looking for crew. I have said before, it must be the best $75 I've ever spent. IMO, if the captain of the boat isn't willing to part with $75, you don't want to be on his boat.

I'd help you but my membership has expired. Sorry. FWIW, findacrew does have it's act together in order to extort the $75. It's nearly impossible to connect with crew's to boats without one of them being a premium. I've got no problem with that - money is money, make it when you can.

My first crew adventure was a free contact, next time I'll pay the money I think. Best to listen to the advise of licenced, vetted experienced folks.
Mt trip? It ended safely. The sea gave me back this time!
Best of luck.
