If you stay out of Georgetown and Marsh Harbor, the fouling conditions in the Bahamas are pretty benign. You can use just about any of the common paints and not get growth. A paint with a slime additive is probably more useful there than one with high copper content.

Perhaps, but why not use a paint that has both?

I second Trinidad SR if you want a hard paint or Micron 66 if you want an ablative. They both have copper and slime juice.

I did not mean to imply that you shouldn't use both. I only meant to pass on my experiences that slime was more of a problem in the Bahamas than hard growth.

And Trinidad SR is a hard paint. There are reasons to want an ablative, but most ablatives do not contain high copper content - they simply regularly present new copper to the surface. So initial copper content is not a reliable indicator of potency or even necessary.
