Any Delta Anchor Construction Failures Out There ?

All the recent negative news about Rocna's metallurgy causes me to pause when thinking about about my Delta 88# anchor's construction. Delta claims to use high grade manganese steel for their construction. Yup, looks good, feels good but...... that means nothing.

No, I have not had any problems with any parts of my delta anchors bending/breaking; I own two, a 55# and an 88#. So I am hoping for no negative surprises!

You can bend any anchor if you try hard enough. I've seen a few (very few) bent Delta's but I don't remember any broken ones. The only anchor I know of that's guaranteed against bending is the Fortress. They get bent all the time but Fortress just replaces the bent parts.

I noticed that Delta guarantees their anchors from breaking. I found nothing in their brochures about bending so my guess is that they don't. Anyway, I am happy so far with my Delta and that is all that really maters.
