Anyone in Northern Spain Right Now, Please ?

Sad tale of a couple from another yachting site. Both were rescued only weeks back and later their yacht was also salvaged and parked up in Cee (a small village next to Corcubion) in N.Spain.
They couple returned to the UK before their yacht was salvaged, are now fighting insurers, and low on funds.
If anyone is close to Cee and prepared to pop along and advise on their boats condition now its been hauled back from the storm and parked up against an open commercial quay - it would be a great Xmas present for these guys.........
Their email is sentito@hotmail.co.uk

Cheers
JOHN

Salvage Rights!

My question is; why would anyone leave a perfectly good vessel that would survive on it's own???

Isn't that why we buy offshore vessels so we know we can make it without a rescue? To leave a vessel that is not sinking is as good as giving it away IMO.

Yours aye!

Prudence in the face of uncertainty.
They may have thought they were safer accepting an available rescue now, than they might be staying aboard, and suffering an uncertain future.
That the boat (more or less?) survived, doesn’t suggest, even in hindsight, that their survival aboard was assured.
