Provisions in Le Marin Martinique

Hi
Can anyone suggest a provision company or two in LeMarin that delivers to cruising boats? Thanks in advance!

If you don't absolutely need to have it delivered, you can sail right up to the float at the boatyard for a short while (or, even better, dinghy there) and there is an excellent supermarket (Leader-Price) right next to the boatyard. There are shopping carts that you can "rent" right at the dock. It's less than a block away, and it is well stocked and cheap, especially the French-branded canned goods, and of course the wine is excellent and dirt cheap. We love French food and used Leader-Price to stock up months of supplies (we're still finding their canned veggies in odd lockers two years later).:D

warning about La Marin, Martinique....

FYI......slightly off the subject, but......the latest edition of Caribbean Connections has a lengthy letter to the editor warning about 2 persistant problems at La Marin; dinghy theft and dog poisioning..

The writer had their locked dinghy stolen and later when they walked Fido near a marina it picked up a chunk of meat which had poison inserted in it.

Quick action and a good vet saved the dog.

La Marin is a great spot for sailors. Leader Price is excellent. As always you have to be street savy. However we always found Marin a fun spot.

Don't let a couple reports detour you.....After you stock up then hang out in Saite-Anne then walk over to Salines ....what a beach! Don't miss it!

Also if the weather is bad at the popular Anse Mitan go further in to
Trois-ilets they have the home of Josephine . The best musuem in the islands.

Saint-Pierre has a wonderful exhibit on the eathquake ruins of 1902.

Don't be intimidated by the French their bark is worse than their bite!
