Garden Route / Southeastern Coast of South Africa

Has anyone cruised the stretch of the southeastern coast of South Africa known as the Garden Route? If so, can you please relate some points of interest and/or any information that might be useful to cruisers headed there?

Thanks.

Are you wanting information on ports or land travel (things to do) from ports in the region?

South Africa on the World Cruiser's Wiki - HERE

The "Garden Route" is from about Knysna down towards Cape Town.

well I am eager to hear about this region. All I know is that the seas are terrible that side. How do people sail west to east with such strong current agianst them?
