Montevideo in One Day
Guide for cruisers: MONTEVIDEO
by a local and former cruise ship staff. After cruising around the world for four years, I am putting together this guide of how to MAKE THE BEST of each port, enjoying TRUE LOCAL TASTE and without getting ripped off... Hope you enjoy this one. There are also some posts on Hawaii, Turkey, Jamaica, and many more coming up every couple of days. Nice to meet you all. Hope I can help maximize your cruising experiences! Veronica- why don't you make a local cruising guide to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil? I was down there recently and I feel that a lot of your area is very unappreciated. Esp Uruguay. I would like to know all about the ports up your river that separates you from Argentina.

Great suggestion!
Wow, from Utah to our humble abode...
I know, very unappreciated area. I have a Buenos Aires post ready, I will post here when itīs up. I can also do Colonia and Rio, because I have been there. Florianopolis island too... Thanks for your suggestion. Will do and let you know. Best, Veronica |
Aye, Montevideo, one of my favorite towns.
Never sailed there, but visited 6 or 7 times on business. Good food, good drink and pretty girls..:D |
where the grass is green...
Thanks for the thing about pretty girls...
I wish you had left that comment on my page, huh huh, more tourism for us! Cheers, V Quote:

Montevideo is beautiful! Like CSY I've never been there by boat but several times on (sugar) business, even up to Bella Union by car, it is a beautiful country and I met of friendly people there. If you go there try to spend a few days out in the country.
