Seeking Updated Info on Cruising St. Vincent & Grenadines

We are exploring a bareboat charter out of St. Vincent through the Grenadines in May. The week before we are planning a dive trip out of St. Vincent. Previously cruised the area, but that was in 1992. My questions are:
1. What is the latest scuttlebut on crime in the area, in particular around Mayreau and Tobago Keys. Not worried about theft, but potential violence?
2. Will have our dive gear aboard. Any suggestions on local diving and dive operators who will come to your boat?
3. Recommendations on charter companies?
4. Any other tips or recommendations.
p.s. Have read "the Usual Suspects" posting. Quite helpful.

Security: Chateaubelair in St Vincent is no-go, everywhere else you should be just fine. Google the Caribbean Safety and Security Net for updates.
Diving: Grenadine Dive in Union island, will take you to the Mayreau Gardens and HMS Purina, pick up on your boat in Mayreau or Tobago Cays. Arawak dive in Carriacou.
Charter: Barefoot in St Vincent, Horizons Grenada, Moorings Canouan, Footloose.
