Raritan Elegance Flush Flow
I have a freshwater flush Raritan Elegance head. It flushes great and rips up whatever is in it. But from day 1 the flush water flow has been low. It is connected to the sink supply line and the flow at the sink is good and the hose to the head solenoid valve it larger than the line to the head. So that only leaves the head itself in my mind as restricting the flow.
What are other freshwater flush Elegance users experience? |

You can adjust the timing for the flush water duration. Read your manual.

I shouldn't have to fill a cup and toss in in to clean he bowl |
Re: Rariran Elegance Flush Flow
Is it possible your fresh water supply is lower pressure than Raritan was expecting?

Re: Rariran Elegance Flush Flow
I got one of those heads, there is 4 buttons, one is for Normal Flush, another one is Water Saver flush. The Normal Flush option runs seems to be really generous with 3 cycles of the flush/suck program.
Perhaps your is stuck on Water Saver...? |

If it’s the four button control, you have the ability to program the water solenoid timing. |
Re: Rariran Elegance Flush Flow
Check out the solenoid where the fresh water enters. There is a very fine screen in there to protect the solenoid itself. If the screen becomes clogged it will give you a reduced flow when flushing. I know this from experience!!

For those talking programmable buttons i don't have this as I don't the “smart” controller. I have a flow rate issue not a volume issue. |

Re: Raritan Elegance Flush Flow
What about the solenoid valve? I know on our Jabsco heads the solenoid valve can get gunked up. When disasembled to clean it is enlightening to see how small the water passage through the solenoid actually is. it doesn't take much build-up to severely restrict the flow, but they are easy to clean out. Seems I need to do mine every year or two.

Re: Raritan Elegance Flush Flow
I'm pretty sure you'd be a lot happier if you'd chosen one of the optional flush controls. You don't have to go with the Smart Flush control...the 3 option "momentary control" should be adequate. Raritan Momentary Control owners-manual It allows you to bring in water ahead of flush (which you should always do ahead of solids but can do any time), "dry" flush without bringing in any more water, and simultaneously bring in water and flush, same as your push button flush does.

Re: Raritan Elegance Flush Flow
I DO have one of the optional controls!
Has nothing to do with the water flow rate. |
