Quarantine in Italy?

I own a boat which is registered and located in Italy. As an Anerican Citizen and resident of the US can I enter Italy and board my boat and quarantine on the boat for 14 days? I read that if an American has a house in Italy they can do this, I was wondering if anyone had heard of boat owners doing this.
