Old MFDs Getting Upgrade

My 2005 Carver 46MY is currently equipped with the original Raymarine electronics package - two C120 MFDs, radar, sonar, VHF radio, and autopilot. One of the MFDs has died and we are looking to replace both MFDs at the very least. The big question is, will a new MFD be compatible with the other existing parts of the electronics package? Is it even wise to try and continue to use the older components if they do work?

Usually the instruments, transducer for depth, wind, autopilot can be used with a new MFD, probably also VHF radio.
Without more detailed info about the current components an assessment is difficult.
