Cruisers & Sailing Forums - Leaving MA for NC to sail!

Hello, So happy to be on the Forum!

My husband Hawkeye and I caught the sailing bug a couple of years back and are selling our house in Western Massachusetts to run away to Oriental, NC. We're a few months away from moving but in our heads are already there!

He's a former professional photographer, I'm a former everything (having bounced around many jobs, most recently soap and bodycare making), and we've been small-scale farmers growing herbs and veggies for the past 10 years.

We're both in our early 50's, looking for a slower-paced, close to water and Nature lifestyle. We'll be taking more sailing lessons in Oriental and hope to find and buy that perfect-for-us sailboat over the next year or so.
