The inflatable sailor of Ecuador

Hello there everybody. First of all, I need to say that I'm not sure I'll turn into much of a sailor. I'm really more of a fisherman looking to use sailing to extend my ocean fishing range here in Ecuador, where I live. I just bought an inflatable kayak (Sea Eagle 465FT) which I hope to rig up with a sail to take a load off the paddling! Even so, I have to say that since I have been investigating the subject of sailing it has seemed more an more interesting to me! Anyway, the specific question I have I will ask in a separate post. Thanks for all the knowledge!

Hi Elgrindio, most of sailing translates one way or another. I love using my windsurfing kit to play around with other equipment like your need. A cheap epoxy or carbon fiber 2 piece windsurf mast with a boomless sail would be a kick. Look into sailing dinghy rigs

It seems you are in Guayaquil, if you want to know something about sailing, come to Salinas, I'll take you out sailing if you want.
