Anyone know of any reputable FBI background check channelers for expedited process for visa application (for Greece)? We leave shortyly, can't do the 12-14 week wait....

Thanks to all!

I suspect being a designated FBI Channeler inherently requires some degree of credibilty.

List of FBI approved channelers from the FBI site:

https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/id...er-submissions

We used one a couple of years ago for Panamanian residency, IIRC it was Inquiries, Inc.

Thank you :-) guess I should have checked the FBI website first! I saw some comments on Google about some that promised to have things in one or two weeks and those things did not happen how long did it take you to receive do you remember? Were you happy with them?

Its been a while, so I dont recall exact timing, but I think the channelers part was quite quick, like a matter of days. Getting proper finger prints and then documents apostiled is what consumed much more time.

We did it once from New Caledonia. We were required to submit a bank cheque in US funds. Eventually got Jim's sister to handle it from the States. I''m glad to see there is a better way, now.

Yes, the fingerprints can be a problem. Some places have converted to computer scans, and the FBI wanted, iirc, ink, (the old fashioned way, none of the new cops knew how to do them), and full palms, as well as fingertips: and they want them all perfect.

Good luck with it, mate,

Ann

Fingerprints were a big part of the hassle for us too. Had to travel to Panama City to get them done, then wait a couple of weeks to get their official signatures/stamps, then travel back to PC to get them, then send to USA...blah, blah...

I have a friend who has no finger prints (at least not enough to get a good ink impression). She cant get residency because of that.

As a US citizen I had never heard of FBI channelers. I looked at the list and realized that when I got my Masters license I used a channeler for the fingerprint and photos for the required TWIC card. It was Morpho Trust. I had no complaints other than I really don’t care for the whole state security apparatuses that have popped up over the past few decades. That’s just cranky me. The whole process was fairly painless because I work in Boston which happens to be one of the cities where most US Bureaucracuse have offices.
Live and learn!!

Sorry to go off topic a bit but isn't Greece part of Schengen? I never needed to apply in advance for a visa to any country in the Schengen area, just showed up at the airport.
