Suggestions Koper to Split

Hi everyone
Looking for suggestions for a route from Koper to Split to take about 7 days. We need to be in Split to join a flotilla. The boat is coming by road from Germany and will be launched in Koper. I know we will need to first do the formalities in Umag, but after that? Sailing month is May.
