The boat had a very good survey last June and was given an overall vessel rating of Above Average condition by Jonathan Sands. As we all know a lot can change in a year with boats approaching the 20 year mark.

Excited! - Apprehensive - Trepidation

I want this boat to be "THE BOAT" but the survey will help a lot in making the final decision.

Sorry but John Sands is the reason I made the comment I did. No accreditation, no insurance and no etc etc.
I've worked on 4 mantas, no common large build issues, mostly systems, lack of maintenance issues like on many used boats if the rigging is over 10 years old the surveyor is probably going to reccommend replacement no matter how it looks and the insurance co may not cover a rigging related failure until it has been replaced.

Yes, helpful and knowledgeable about multihulls. Left here after repeated run ins with moderators. Multihull knowledge is less acceptable than speculation apparently.

Yes Mark Cole is expert on the Mantas. He is still active on the Manta forum. Not sure why he chose to quit posting on the cruisers forum. I have seen a lot of unnecessary personal attacks on this forum which could turn people off using fhis forum.
