Lewmar Opening Port Interior Trim
The thin plastic interior trim on my 1987 Catalina 36's Lewmar Size 1 opening ports is beginning to crumble.
Called Lewmar, but the tech's solution was new ports. Indeed! Hope this has not already been covered on this Forum. Tried various search combinations, but no joy. Might anyone know of a source for these trim pieces? One is falling apart and another will soon be following. Wondered if someone had upgraded to new ports and was able to remove the old trim pieces without destroying them, or maybe there is a pattern out there for a wooden replacement? Thanks for the advice anyone cares to offer. Jack |

These are very difficult to find. And expensive when you do. Only solution I've heard of, but haven't yet tried, is making a mold of one, and then making your own with a vac u form table.

“... Spare parts can be supplied for all our current hatch and portlight ranges. For older hatches which are no longer manufactured a selection of the most frequently requested spares is available. It is necessary to identify your hatch/portlight to determine which spares you will need. Your local Lewmar retailer should be able to order the spares for you ...”
