VP and the Fox

Hello VP & The Fox,
It seems you have experience with both seawind and Astrea 42. I am interested in the Seawind 1260 and the FP Astrea 42 and would love to hear your comments of plus and minuses of the two. Comfort, safety, and reliability are most important to us. I’ve seen the Ruby Rose review of the Astrea. Seawind seems like an extremely well built boat. Probably better built than the Astrea.... ? The space and beauty of the Astrea is so tempting. Why have you chosen to move from Seawind to FP? If you can spare a few minutes to share your thoughts we would be very grateful. Cheers! Brian

This is Kirk Brackebusch from the Astrea thread. I am trying to figure my plans out - so I ask about your plans to see what i can learn. Will you sail your boat from France to Australia? I am daydreaming about sailing from France to the South pacific and then somehow back to seattle to sell the boat. I see my boat purchase as a 2 year rental.
