    Hi Don,
I'm here in the Philippines now. And will be until May. Sorry for the late reply, web reception here really sux. I've sent you one reply already but it didn't make it thru. So here I go again. I sailed the boat down to SF Sept of 2013 and its slightly up the Delta in a nice little marina in Vallejo. I had planned to sail it here to PI but the wife's priorities seem to be higher then mine, so I' dealing with a new house here in PI. We sold the one in WA. Hope you have a good trip down to MX and beyond. Its good to do it now while you still can. Times are changing fast and the cruising life may become only a rich mans dream shortly.
    Good to hear from you!

Your just having too much fun with that Choate! I got the drain figured out. I bought a Whale pump with the electronic drain. It was near impossible to put in a drain w/o losing major overhead space. I mostly have finished up the head project but have left the finish work for after other priorities. Chech out my blog. "The Restoration & Upgrade of a Choate 40" I'm still going at it with more upgrades.
