- Up until 1981 I was a licensed 100 ton ocean operator. skippered many types of oil industry vessels. Got the sailing bug when i crewed on a J-160 in Antigua. Started to build Chank a Chank in 1992. Age and money issues killed that dream but I still own a c&c 41 .
