18-03-2020 18:42LatchdaddyHello, I am interested in the non-paid position. I was scheduled to help deliver a Bene 50 from St.Croix to Galveston but the boat got sold. Thanks for the consideration.
Here's my CV for sailing;
Thanks for the consideration. I am an Italian - American engineer looking to build sea miles, meet interesting people and stay on the road to Ithaca. I'm on a phased plan to gain offshore experience, buy a cruiser and circumnavigate. I was a member of the Houston Yacht Club and continue to charter and race both in the bay and offshore. I have a Pearson Ensign and a Sea Pearl. I've been chartering for the past 3 yrs, and recently won a coastal race in a Hunter Legend 37.5. I participate in the Texas200 small boat event in the ICW. Now I am looking for extended offshore passages as crew or watch leader. -
04-03-2020 21:31db747I'd love to join on your crossing. It would be my first ocean crossing but I am a reliable, responsible SAFE sailor. I own a Hunter 37' in San Francisco and have my asa 101/103/104/114 certs for what that's worth. I've got a BVI charter under my belt, with some fairly gnarly conditions experienced while we were there.
I'm 38, flexible, easygoing, free traveling, relatively fit, no diet restrictions etc. Non smoking, no booze underway is fine although I am a social drinker. I'm fairly handy, I built an airplane in my garage and can handle general maintenance stuff easy. I'm an amateur musician and play drums, guitar and sing but I probably won't jam unless there's a guitar around or some karaoke on shore. Definitely not a a trump supporter, those people are insane.
I'd love to help get your boat ready and join you on this passage. Feel free to give me a shout 801 647 8335. If not have a safe journey! -
04-03-2020 21:30db747Part 1 :
Greetings, saw your post regarding crew needed.
I logged in today looking for a boat to possibly crew in the near future. I am current 787 pilot for United Airlines and obviously our international flying is way down- to the point they are offering us (reduced) paid time off.
