    Hi,

You mentioned using a professional weather router on your crossing from Mexico to Tahiti. I'm wondering who you used? Planning a similar crossing.

hello. you made a comment back in 2019 regarding a Garcia 50. Was the name of this vessel Hakea.

Our dock neighbour in Papeete has circumnavigated Antarctica in his Garcia 50. This is one of the most serious sailboats that I have ever seen, other than the French research vessel (also a sailboat) that called into Lyttleton on its way back from Antarctica. Both show signs of being seriously beaten up. Our neighbour has also climbed Mt. Everest and is now preparing the boat for the Northwest Passage. His boat seems to be built for this kind of thing but I know that I am not. I'll stick to a paid berth on something bigger if and when I go to Antarctica - something that I would very much like to do. My employer in NZ had "ice privileges" in Antarctica, meaning that we could land a certain number of people per year for research purposes. Those of my colleagues who went there loved going back.

I also worked with next wave Inc who are located out on Hy-way #4 towards Port Alberni. Qualicum Beach. who developed a sure drive to overcome the failed damper problem. at 2,000 RPM the engine runs perfectly smooth>

]sailtraining AT dccnet.com and I will forward details to you.> < CF messaging limits text quantity. that is why my previous submission is in two parts.

    part two of two parts.

At His premises He took me to the back of the work shop and put each injector on the test tray and demonstrated the the diesel oil was being spurted in four directions like a cross. only one of them was making a slight spray.

They are of course a Bosch product not Volvo. So new parts were ordered from Montreal.
My injectors were disassembled and the bodies glass blasted. He rebuilt them when the parts arrived and then demonstrated on the test rig again that they produced a very fine mist almost looked like gas. best I recall the bill for all three was $456.taxes inc.

I took them back to the workshop and reinstalled them. since that time the engine fires and runs on the second revolution every time. we installed in the boat august 2019 and have run it in the boat on the land for several times for over an hour. all that comes out of the exhaust pipe the is visible is water,

I hope this is of some interest...regards Brian.

For what is is worth when I first got my volvo Penta 2003 I could not get it to start and run..it was so bad that it would only generate massive amounts of smoke.

I visited Fred Holms fuel injection 13571 Verdun Pl #100, Richmond, BC V6V 1W5

there I met Raj...who rented a slide hammer puller tool to me for $150 deposit.
( I have since made my own.) He instructed me to go back to the workshop and drain down the coolant. Also to fill the copper cups around the injectors with Movit By Lloyds. After soaking with the penetrating oil overnight, I used the slide hammer to extract the injectors and took everything back to Him.
