My wife and I are looking for the "perfect" yacht. I've been looking at Catalina 387s and they seem to meet with my wife's approval . We haven't been aboard one yet though, and that will be the final test. Ok, enough gibber-jabber. My question to you, sir, is; now that you've owned one for some time (don't know if you still own or not), what is your impression? We'd be sailing in the same waters you mention (Lake Huron, eventually down to the Caribbean). Do you still think the Catalina 387 is a great boat, or have you discovered her to be a pain in the butt? What advice would you offer a potential 387 buyer?

I just read your post on Calibers... I'm also in Ontario and looking at Caliber as well. How did the story end with you?
