    Biography
    Born 1951 in Rotterdam. Sailing experience on family's keeler along coast and dinghies on the Dutch lakes. Compulsary service with Dutch marines, business studies in Neuchatel, La Suisse. Emigrated to NZ in 1976 and married a Kiwi. We have three grown up children who now have their own young families. Set up medical distribution company 35 years ago and sold in 2015. Owned and raced a mahogany dragon for ten years, had Young Nick a 1970 S&S One Tonner and now race a Young 88, which is a compact cruiser racer. However I now have a Xp38 on order in Denmark, which besides the weekly harbour and coastal racing, will serve us well for more extended cruising.
