Hi Dowlo,
I am Lawrie Turner from Christmas Beetle - a Grainger G37 launched in 2000. I was exactly like you approx 3 years ago when I started investigating and finally purchased after 1.5 years of investigations. I am based in Scarborough (Brisbane) should you live close by and in which case we can discuss at length. I have some sailing experience and am a live aboard with aspirations of coastal and then venturing further afield. I am definitely not an expert on everything but have some decent general knowledge and opinions on makes of cats etc - some views I can't publish because I would offend various owners. My investigative years narrowed down my field to Easy, Grainger, Perry, Seawind, Schionning etc and top of the exclusion list was Lagoon and then a lot of "charter" boats are problematic when considering venturing further afield.
