Hi Mathew,
I had Aventura for more than 15 years. She was my home away from home for many winters. She was not a fast horse like my previous boat which I raced across the Atlantic but she was a very comfortable and cool and safe to live aboard in the Caribbeans with lots of ventilation and a safe ketch rigging arrangement. She was slow and did not go up against the wind well like my previous race horse but who cares if you are a real sailor and aren't in a hurry? Sorry but the apps limits my comments to 1000 characters and I have much more to tell send me you address at dextraze arobas y....c.. fThe Dufour family built ships!!!Everything about this model was overbuilt. The size of the cleats, the size of the winches, the rigging. They originally built this boat to go after the U.S. market. If you check the lifelines, they have side gates. They failed to market the boat to the U.S. market because they were engineers not marketeers.
Where are you located?
